What are some dietary sources?

Elderberries (Sambucus nigra) are dark purple berries found on the European elder tree, a large shrub grown in Europe, North America, and parts of Africa and Asia. The berries must be cooked before being consumed. Dietary sources of Vitamin C include citrus fruits (lemons, limes, oranges) as well as strawberries, tomatoes and bell peppers. Vitamin D is found in very few foods, as our main source is the sun, but many breakfast cereals and dairy foods are fortified with Vitamin D.
