Folate is an important nutrient for pregnant women, however 17% of women of childbearing age do not consume enough Folate in their diet.[1] Folic Acid is the form of Folate used in dietary supplements, and it is recommended that pregnant women consume at least 600 mcg DFE (360 mcg Folic Acid) per day to support the growth of their developing baby.†
Normally, the nutrients found in this multivitamin are found in a diet that provides a variety of foods, including an abundant intake of vegetables and fruit, whole grains, and lean protein.
