More than half (54%) of U.S. adults do not consume enough Magnesium in their diets alone.[1] It is estimated that 95% of Americans don’t consume enough Vitamin D from their diet alone and nearly one-third have a Vitamin D deficiency.[1,2] As for Zinc, about 15% of Americans are not meeting their Zinc needs from food alone.[1]
Foods with Magnesium include whole grains (brown rice, oat bran, whole wheat), dark green leafy vegetables, nuts and beans. Sunlight provides the main source of our Vitamin D requirements (if the skin is exposed to the sun without sunscreen), but a few foods contain Vitamin D, such as fatty fish, egg yolks, and fortified dairy products. Food sources of Zinc include oysters, crab, chicken, turkey, yogurt, milk, beans, nuts, and fortified breakfast cereals.
Glad you asked! Nature Made® Magnesium Complex with Vitamin D3 and Zinc is designed for adults looking to support muscle relaxation, heart, nerve and bone health, and a healthy immune system.†
